A lot of high-potential players have separate technical coaching, but not many look for S&C support outside of their clubs. Football can be separated into a number of elements, the most important being technical, tactical and physical. Although schedules are busy, ignoring the physical side of the game is an 'own goal'.
Whereas technical ability might hit a ceiling, physical performance can be continuously improved. How many players do you look at in the modern game and think they made it because they graft for the team?
Being strong and in the best condition possible can be a game changer for a lot of players. Being able to dominate opponents physically is a hugely desirable trait in football and it has a huge impact in games.
I work with players to develop their capacity to give as much for the team in the last minute, as they do in the first.
My only non-negotiable is effort. If players get into good habits of fully committing to their training, they will find it easier to give 100% in games, maximising their impact.
